主语army，前有rivaling。。状语。，谓语is。。and took。。，句子前是doing或ed。。的状语，上课着重讲了这个句型。Rivaling应该和句子主语有逻辑关系，是主语主动发出的动作。能和pyramid有逻辑关系的只能是兵马俑。所以其他选项按照这个结构上的错误直接可以排除掉。
首先这道题根据逻辑主语排除BDE，然后明显A是优于C的，但是答案却是C，我看了很久，莫非是and took那里出了问题？是is和took时态上不平行呢?还是兵马俑不能发出took这个动作？明显这个地方写成it took ...to complete兵马俑比较靠谱一些。其他A的问题我就没发现了，如果我提的关于A的两个问题是正确的话，那么此题应该退而求其次选C。
